Registrar of Companies, Jaipur, imposed a penalty of ₹1,60,640 on Shri Sunil Kumar Sharma for violating Section 155 of the Companies Act, 2013, which prohibits holding multiple Director Identification Numbers (DINs). Sharma initially obtained DIN 06910635 on June 28, 2014, and a second DIN 08481660 on June 13, 2019, for various companies. The penalty must be paid online within 90 days. Sharma’s request for a minimum penalty was noted, and the adjudicating officer has set the total penalty at ₹1,60,640. An appeal against this decision can be filed within 60 days with the Regional Director (NWR), Ahmedabad. Non-payment of the penalty may result in fines or imprisonment as outlined in the Companies Act, 2013.
